新居网弄好后多半在围脖打混，那里消息快图片多，让我这个极不灵通人士常有眼花缭乱之感（虽然也挺浪费时间）。这几天看到一个（或一群？）叫“中国书画艺术”的贴出文徵明的字《草堂十志》一幅以及朗世宁的花鸟画，勾起很多回忆。一是少时看叔叔写字，被追着叫好
二是少读金庸小说，偶尔看到郎世宁所作香妃像，非常吸引。那幅工笔小像用色大胆，显是西洋画影响。刚好翻看借Junshan的毛姆游记，《在中国屏风上》（On a Chinese Screen, 1922），有一章叫《内阁部长》（按年头应该不难查到此人是谁，就是懒得去查），哎，真好看——原来毛姆有福见到若干真迹。这位部长是个大收藏家，逐一给他展示唐三彩、书、画，还讲起逸闻趣事。毛姆写道观感：
“那是一系列小张的花鸟画，虽只寥寥数笔，却栩栩如生，它们有着多么丰富的联想、多么伟大的自然情感和多么动人的温柔，确实令人叹为观止。几根嫩枝，开出点点梅花，就包含了春天所有鲜活的魅力；几只小鸟，惊起根根羽毛，便表现出生命中的博动和战栗。这是一个艺术大师的杰作。”
“动人的温柔”说得极好，真想知道画家是谁。
但是呢，毛姆就是毛姆，你正在想他怎么离开人性这个老焦点咏起物来，果然笔锋一转，进入高潮：
“但对我而言，这次见面中最奇妙的事情是，我从一开始就知道他根本就是个恶棍，腐败渎职、寡廉鲜耻、为达目的不择手段。他是一个搜刮的高手，通过极其恶劣的手段掠夺了大量财富。他是个虚伪、残忍、报复心强、行贿受贿的人，中国沦落到他所悲叹的这个地步，他本人也难辞其咎。然而，当他拿起一只天青色小花瓶时，他的手指微曲，带着一种迷人的温情，忧郁的目光仿佛在轻轻地抚摸，他的双唇微微张开，似乎发出一声充满欲望的叹息。”
所以我们看艺术作品的时候，不敢追问赵孟頫、赵佶、高更……是谁。

在百度上抄了一段这位洋人画家的介绍：
郎世宁（Giuseppe Castiglione,1688—1766）是意大利人，原名朱塞佩·伽斯底里奥内，生于米兰，清康熙帝五十四年（1715）作为天主教耶稣会的修道士来中国传教，随即入宫进入如意馆，成为宫廷画家，曾参加圆明园西洋楼的设计工作，历任康、雍、乾三朝，在中国从事绘画达50多年。

曾看到过郎世宁给乾隆画的骑马图, 不知道是不是印刷体的原因,没有留下深刻的印象. 油画那种立体凸凹感的没有,国画的意蕴也欠缺, 如果没有为帝王伪饰的话,可能他的功能多是在写真上面. 不过这种风格, 个人觉得非常合适在花草鸟兽上的介绍画上...

郎世宁工笔画技加西洋画风，我还老看着他挺学院派的呢。我觉得那会儿可能是宫里的人儿看着稀罕，就像玻璃器皿呐，西洋钟什么的。我不太感冒。

郎世宁的功用似乎真是写真，为帝王家造像，他画的那幅香妃好像照片。我觉得他大概很会做人，为人也善谈有趣，所以历经三帝，既聪明，又幸运。如果不提是外国人，画倒的确不算特别。
